Job DescriptionThis position offers advancement opportunities, where the right candidate will be trained for increasing responsibilities. We will be screening candidates with machine setup and operation backgrounds. Perform duties to setup and operate a most spring coiling machines, ovens and grinders, within assigned area of responsibility in accordance with job specifications, established quality standards and production rates. Responsible for wide range of spring manufacturing processes. Set up and operate most spring coiling machines, ovens and grinders, within assigned area of responsibility in accordance with job specifications, established quality standards and production rates. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to production processes. They also produce and maintain project progress reports for their supervisorsMeasure and mark dimensions and reference points on work pieces and materialsDetect equipment / machine malfunction and handle adjustmentsAscertain that parts are fabricated properly so that they meet quality control standardsPlan stock inventory by ensuring that available stock is sufficient and order additional materials for subsequent projectsSet up mills and lathes and load feed mechanism by lifting stock into positionMaintain end product specifications by ensuring that drilling, grooving and cutting activities are handled according set standardsDetect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes and adjust and reprogram controls to meet the varying needs of the fabrication processPerform preventative and regular maintenance work on CNC machines and related tools------------------Operates production equipment; responsible for manufacturing springsFollows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are metRequires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-5 years of related experienceFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldRelies on some experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for expertly seting up and operating manual and numerical control (CNC) equipment to safely produce compliant metal parts to customer print specifications. These parts are to meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards. Follow safety rulesKeep work area in a clean and orderly conditionPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machines and buildingProperly and safely use machine tools, micrometers, caliper, load test equipment, gauge pins, height gauge, comparator and hand toolsOperate fork lift, hand truck, hand pallet jack and other similar equipmentOperates precision production machinery, systems and processes for manufacturing springsFollows blueprints, guidelines and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are metAbility to exercise sound judgment to plan setups, locate position and secure tooling in place and make necessary diameter, tooling and feed adjustments, within the limitations of standard methods and proceduresPerform other related duties as assignedThis postion has no supervisory responsibilitiesWorks under immediate supervision, and reports to a manager

 RequirementsCandidates MUST be able to pass a drug screen and federal background checkEducation:   1-2 years of collegeExperience:  Minimum of 1 - 3 years performing spring coil setup. Or 2 – 5 years of hands on CNC metal machining experience (mills, lathes, grinders). Operates machinery, systems and processes. Computer controlled machine programming, precision measurement, process and machine trouble-shooting, problem-solving, machine maintenance and proficient use of diagnostic and statistical toolsMathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsReasoning Skills:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Communication:
