Music Wire is cold drawn, and it has a high and uniform tensile. Music Wire is the toughest and most widely used of all spring materials for small springs. It has the highest tensile strength and can withstand higher stresses under repeated loading than any other spring material. Cold drawn. Average stress applications. Lower cost springs and wire forms. Hard Drawn is the most inexpensive general purpose spring steel and should be used only where life, accuracy, and deflection are not too important. Cold drawn. Higher quality springs and wire forms. Cold drawn and heat treated before fabrication, General purpose spring wire. Cold drawn and heat treated before fabrication. Suitable for cyclic applications.
